David L. says, "Geoff does an amazing job teaching guitar. He is patient and explains why certain exercises need to be practiced. The progress our son has made in such a short time is amazing and he has not lost interest! On top of that all the lessons have been done remotely. Highly recommend Geoff if you are looking for an instructor. Top notch all around." Read more

Reviews for Durham music theory teachers

Recent success stories from people in the Durham area.
Margaret G.
Geoff has been fantastic - my son wanted to learn to play the guitar after a quick introduction at school, and we met with a few teachers for him. Geoff was the best - he has been a great balance of teaching the basics, and helping my son focus on foundational techniques, while also giving him chances to choose the music he wants to play from a whole variety of genres. Geoff is clearly talented, and even teaching online, he is careful to review how my son is handling his guitar and watching his hands. He is patient with mistakes, and also knows when my son hasn't really practiced (and lets him know he knows!) :) It's been a pleasure working with him, and watching my son's skills develop. Geoff has even encouraged him to sing, which has been really fun to watch. Highly recommend!
