In 4th grade my parents enrolled me in the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music playing the trombone. I learned the importance of music theory and musicianship in a formal brass band setting. Upon returning to the USA, I taught public school music for the past 16 years, and utilized my Spanish skills to assist in translations, and be an interpreter. I have also tutored high school students in Intermediate level Spanish.

I am a recent graduate from Campbell University. I believe that music is power and if you learn to use it, you can do just about anything. I only have two rules when it comes to lessons: practice as often as you can and don't be afraid to ask questions. I base the speed of the lessons on how much the student practices. Since everyone learns differently, it takes me about two lessons to get to know your style and tailor my teaching to it.
