Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We had been trained, for two years, by Ballroom Extraordinary Gentlemen and Purple Charlotte Steppers both of Charlotte, NC. We have participated in numerous competition and demonstrations at the highest levels of performance and competition dancing. And our unique teaching style, of six years, insures that students will grow, get better and be able to dance with anyone in the US.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$10 per student per class. You can pay by Cash, Credit Card, Paypal or CashApp.
How did you get started teaching?
I was asked and egged on by a dear friend to help teach their friends about six years ago. So we said yes and we have been teaching ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
From those with no rhythm or count to those who have innate dancing gifts. We teach all people who want to learn.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Our senior students wanted to perform for us as a part of their "bucket list". So we said no problem and put together a routine for them that was challenging and fun! They performed admirably and it was exciting watching them grow as students!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure your teacher is still learning! If they are stagnant in their willingness to the continual process of learning, then that is not a teacher you want. Things change everyday and you must be willing to adapt to those changes.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask the questions:
1) What is your philosophy on the dance you teach?
2) What is the history of your dance?
3) How often to you practice your dance?
If they can not sufficiently answers those questions then move on to another instructor. They have no interest in making you a better student because they have no interest in making themselves a better instructor!
