About
Hello,
My Name is Jake McBride. I've played professional golf since 2017. Before that, I played collegiately at NC State. I have a very feel based approach when It comes to teaching. I do not believe in teaching one specific swing. Instead I like to help improve your individual swing and make it more efficient. Looking forward to working with you soon.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would first seek input from my students to find out their level of knowledge for the game. Beginning players would work thru a process of full swing, chipping, and then putting. Fundamentals of stance, grip, and swing mechanics would be the focus on the full swing. Chipping techniques and putting concepts and drills could be implemented in subsequent lessons. I will use technology such as the V1 Swing Analyzer App so students can see their swing flaws and advances with each lesson. Students will leave each lesson with a review of main ideas and concepts we worked on along with homework ideas to enhance the lesson.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My experience as a Division 1 offer at NC State, along with experiences in my pro career, including a two-year stint on the Latin American Tour proves I have the knowledge needed to teach the golf swing.
