About
I bring my skills as a mindset coach, teacher, mentor, golf coach and golf instructor in a combined method to uniquely connect with and impart information and understanding to my clients and students.
I focus on the entire person so I'm able to bring out the best in each person's game.
My wide ranging education and experience allows me to connect with clients and students in a way that I'm told not many other golf instructors do.
I truly enjoy working with people to help them achieve their goals, set new goals and then achieve those in a forward moving process that is fun.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Everything begins with goals. Initial lessons consist of assessing skills, physicality and ability, determining student aims and mindset and determining and setting short and long term goals.
Then we'll put together a comfortable plan to reach them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Instruction from the largest teaching and playing bodies in golf, nearly three decades designing and implementing training programs for youth and adults and hundreds of individual lessons combined with a love of teaching and a love of golf have prepared me for every new student and swing I meet.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Off-season rates run from Dec. 1st to June 1st and are $75, $350, $650 for a single lesson, series of five lessons, and a series of ten lessons. After June 1st, individual lessons are $85 for a single and $400 for a series of 5.
Lessons last from 45 to 75 min depending on what we're working on.
I'll go longer if any student needs something special or is about to have a breakthrough because that's what teaching is all about.
How did you get started teaching?
I've been a knowledge sponge and natural teacher my whole life; always enjoying sharing information with others and helping them learn and acheive whenever I can.
When I was asked to work for a family friend who was a PGA Pro it was only a matter of time until I found myself wanting to share this great game with others.
I've never stopped learning and sharing everything I can about golf.
What types of students have you worked with?
I started out working with around 300 kids every Summer. Things progressed from there into individual lessons with every make and model golfer you can imagine.
In my mid 20's I hit upon my "Ego-Free Golf" philosophy and that led to a focus on youth, senior and lady golfers.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My son making the Varsity golf team as a Freshman. 'Nuff said. :-)
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It's all about a connection. Like minded student/teacher teams are more successful because they see the same goals, the same paths to those goals and exchange information better and every good teacher will learn something from just about every student they meet.
Ask questions and listen to the answers an instructor gives, or doesn't give. Choose instructors you get a good "gut" feeling about and that make you feel at ease.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your goals? How much time, work and money do you want to put into reaching them? How important is it to have fun at a lesson?
These three questions will help you along the path to enjoying learning the game as much as you enjoy playing it.
