Ego Free Golf

About

I bring my skills as a mindset coach, teacher, mentor, golf coach and golf instructor in a combined method to uniquely connect with and impart information and understanding to my clients and students.

I focus on the entire person so I'm able to bring out the best in each person's game.

My wide ranging education and experience allows me to connect with clients and students in a way that I'm told not many other golf instructors do.

I truly enjoy working with people to help them achieve their goals, set new goals and then achieve those in a forward moving process that is fun.

Over the past the past 3-4 months, working with Arnold has definitely stepped up my golf game. Arnold dissects the golf swing into easily comprehensible components. He guides you through each element and then piece by piece reconstructs your golf swing.
Arnolds ability to provide constructive feedback in real-time is truly invaluable. He consistently challenges you to evolve with each lesson, resulting in tangible improvements.
Arnold has a high expectation of his clients, encouraging them to invest time in homework (practicing) and diligent note-taking. He begins each lesson to recap what you learned last session, testing what youve retained.
Ultimately, the outcome of your lessons with Arnold hinges on the effort you invest. I highly recommend Arnold if youre serious about enhancing your golf game.

Arnold is patient, calm, and respectful. He works hard to improve your swing: he demonstrates what he wants done; he positions you, hands on, step-by-step; he provides videos of you for you to see and analyzes them with you; and he provides video examples of pro players practicing and performing aspects of your swing that need work. He works with you on course management, and on thought processes to engage while on the course. And he encourages and motivates you. Best instructor Ive ever had.

Id been playing golf for years with a pretty wicked slice. Kinda embarrassing really. I went in to my first lesson a little tense. But, AJ made the experience light and informative. After only a few sessions I was hitting straight. I look forward to continue improving my game with a great coach. I recommend AJ to everyone.

I love that AJ takes his time with a newbie like myself. Everything is explained to the T for a beginner golfer the right way. And he never gets frustrated when I don’t get things or doubt myself. He is very encouraging and gives analogies outside of golf that do apply to golf in some way shape or form!

AJ is so patient and extremely good at reading his clients and how to communicate and implement in terms that they understand in order to achieve their goals. It will be time and money WELL spent when you choose to work with him!

Arnold pays close attention and will stay on you until you understand his instructions and begin to do things correctly. He showed me the correct way to swing a golf club and although it was uncomfortable at first, the last few rounds of golf that I played have seen 10 to 15 strokes off of my score.

    Frequently asked questions

Everything begins with goals. Initial lessons consist of assessing skills, physicality and ability, determining student aims and mindset and determining and setting short and long term goals.

Then we'll put together a comfortable plan to reach them.

Instruction from the largest teaching and playing bodies in golf, nearly three decades designing and implementing training programs for youth and adults and hundreds of individual lessons combined with a love of teaching and a love of golf have prepared me for every new student and swing I meet.

Generally individual lessons are $75 for a single and $300 for a series of 5.
Lessons last from 45 to 75 min depending on what we're working on.
I'll go longer if any student needs something special or is about to have a breakthrough because that's what teaching is all about.

I've been a knowledge sponge and natural teacher my whole life; always enjoying sharing information with others and helping them learn and acheive whenever I can.
When I was asked to work for a family friend who was a PGA Pro it was only a matter of time until I found myself wanting to share this great game with others.
I've never stopped learning and sharing everything I can about golf.

I started out working with around 300 kids every Summer. Things progressed from there into individual lessons with every make and model golfer you can imagine.
In my mid 20's I hit upon my "Ego-Free Golf" philosophy and that led to a focus on youth, senior and lady golfers.
    Ask me why!

My son making the Varsity golf team as a Freshman. 'Nuff said. :-)

It's all about a connection. Like minded student/teacher teams are more successful because they see the same goals, the same paths to those goals and exchange information better and every good teacher will learn something from just about every student they meet.
Ask questions and listen to the answers an instructor gives, or doesn't give. Choose instructors you get a good "gut" feeling about and that make you feel at ease.

What are your goals? How much time, work and money do you want to put into reaching them? How important is it to have fun at a lesson?
These three questions will help you along the path to enjoying learning the game as much as you enjoy playing it.
