Patricia K. says, "I have studied with Denise for several months and consider myself a novice. Having taken lessons with several piano teachers through the years, and then losing interest and not playing, Denise has turned all that around inspiring me to learn, practice and really enjoy playing the piano. She is of the highest caliber, having been classically trained, and has motivated me to play pieces by Beethoven, Bach and Debussy to name a few. Her attention to detail with respect to my touch, tone and execution of pieces is priceless. She’s patient, even-tempered, and most importantly, knows how to bring out the best in me. Denise also teaches on a stunning grand piano in her lovely home that is warm and inviting. If you are anywhere in the Forest Hill section of Newark and looking for piano lessons - this is the place!" Read more

I absolutely recommend Shak as a drumming coach. He is extremely friendly and personable. I have played drums in the past but overtime had forgotten certain things and wanted to brush up on them. He was able to pinpoint what I needed to work on and as well as what my strengths were. Overall a great lesson and would definitely book another in the very near future.

As a theory teacher, Patrick Kreeger possesses the exact teaching style the subject requires. Patience, availability for questions and dedication to my desire to learn best define my experience with Patrick. It was such dedication that also made him call me out when he didn’t think I was doing my best or was making careless mistakes. Perhaps this wouldn’t be that outstanding except that Patrick did all of this long distance; he was in Philadelphia and I was in Delaware. He was timely in mailing me assignments and tests, and even more so in grading and returning them. I learned more from him in the 2 years I studied with him than I did in my last year of theory in my undergrad at music school. If you have the opportunity to study with Patrick Kreeger, consider yourself lucky. You couldn’t find better quality teaching elsewhere.”

Will has all the attributes of a great teacher. He is knowledgeable, patient and passionate about music. I look forward to the lessons. I always feel like I’m getting better. I take guitar lessons, but Will plays about 6 instruments in total and I think his musical acumen brings and added intangible to the lessons.

He's a great teacher: encouraging, but also knows when and how to critique and not discourage a beginner. Makes sure it is challenging, but not overwhelming. Encyclopedic knowledge of jazz and music theory. Definitely recommend!

All the lessons were well taught with high confidence and understanding. Jenna is a great singer and that shows in her lessons, and that is really inspiring. On top of that she is one of the nicest people you'll meet and it really makes it easy to be vulnerable so that all your little problems can be addressed.

I participated in Peter Mark's masterclasses, and he is a real professional who cares about his students. No matter what level of voice you have, or where you are currently in your training, he will help to get the best out of you. He has great intuition about how to handle singers and really gives 100% of his energy in coaching. I greatly appreciate him working with me and consider it a great honor to have been allowed to participate in these classes.
