I have a Master’s degree from the Juilliard school and Undergraduate degree from the Moscow conservatory. Having studied in two of the best musical institutions in the world and being a concert pianist, it brings me great joy to share my love for music and my expertise with my students. Hello. I am Yulia Kreyn, professional piano teacher holding a Master’s Degree in Music with 40 years of teaching experience across 3 countries – Soviet Union, Israel, and the United States. For more than 20 years, I’ve prepared students for the ABRSM international music exams and NYSSMA exams. My students participate in Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center performances yearly. I teach in Brooklyn, NY and Kingston, NY in person, and I’m available for online lessons.

I tailor my lessons to every students specific goals. I understand that not every student is looking to become a virtuoso, and so I may focus the lessons for those students more towards the specific goals of the student, with some relevant music theory sprinkled in if it seems appropriate. On the flip side, I will throw everything a student can handle at them, if they intend kn going as far as possible with their lessons, but I'll do it in a way that is manageable, and most of all, fun. Regardless of a student's particular goals, I always make it a point to ask for favorite songs and artists, and build a specific lesson plan with that info
