He's a great teacher: encouraging, but also knows when and how to critique and not discourage a beginner. Makes sure it is challenging, but not overwhelming. Encyclopedic knowledge of jazz and music theory. Definitely recommend!

If you're interested in it, he's very good with theory, which will help you become a musician, not just learn chords, etc. by rote. I think this really sets him apart. He is also very patient.

All the lessons were well taught with high confidence and understanding. Jenna is a great singer and that shows in her lessons, and that is really inspiring. On top of that she is one of the nicest people you'll meet and it really makes it easy to be vulnerable so that all your little problems can be addressed.

I began taking guitar lessons with Thor about 5 weeks ago and he is an excellent instructor , Thor is focused on teaching me and explains and demonstrates all of the work we are doing , he is patient and enjoys passing his music skills on to me . Thor also never is in a hurry for our lesson to end , he always wants to get his lesson plan across even if it takes extra time which I really appreciate. Glafkos is extremely professional and talented musician, very passionate about the music. He has a great attitude and has been very patient teaching my children the piano. His teaching techniques make it easy to understand new complex pieces, he is very thorough and pays attention to small but important details. Glafkos encourages not only to learn how to play the piano, but to understand the music from the inside. My children always enjoy his lessons. They started taking lessons with Glafkos almost 5 years ago and they have made a great deal of progress in their playing and more important have developed an appreciation to the beauty of classical music.
