I teach beginners as well as proficient students of all ages. I help the student find their own sound and develop good technical approaches based on the individual's current abilities.

Hi! I teach private lessons in acting, singing, guitar, piano, violin, cello, and bass. I love giving private students the tools to reach their goals and I like seeing the joy in their faces when they accomplish something new. I hold my students to high standards and I set high expectations.

We value our students' desires to achieve their specific goals. Music education can merely be a hobby as students walk in. As they leave our weekly lessons, they start to open their minds on the endless possiblities of what they can do with music, from composition, performance or simply as an outlet. Erin fell in love with the violin at age seven under the instruction of Natalie Colbert at E. Rivers Elementary School in Atlanta, GA. She studied violin through high school and college, and received a BA in Communications with a Minor in Music from Georgia State University. After a lifelong study of the violin, Erin began to play the viola as a happy accident. As an undergraduate student in college, Erin’s chamber music group needed a violist to play the Schubert Trout Quintet. Never one to turn down a challenge, Erin jumped right in and never looked back. We are a wonderful group of teachers in Upper Manhattan who have been teaching for over 30 years at schools that include Montclair State University, Rutgers University, The Cleveland Institute of Music and more. Based on the Suzuki Method but deriving organically from many sources including Adventures in Violin Land created by master teacher Shirley Givens, we also share philosophies with Mimi Zelig of Indiana University's we'll know Suzuki Academy. A native of Taiwan, I received my Bachelor of Music degree and Master's degree from Mannes School of Music. I began my musical training on violin and piano at 5.  As a performing artist, I have given solo, ensemble, and orchestral performances at various events and concerts in the U.S. and Taiwan. Her most recent collaboration within New York City has brought her to venues such as Alice Tully Hall and Carnegie Hall. Ms. Isadora has had more than five years of teaching experience. She has a strong passion for teaching and enjoys sharing her stories and love of music with students of all ages and levels.
