I teach anyone; from children and adult beginners to professionals preparing for auditions, anyone dealing with repetitive use injuries, older people who always wanted to do this but thought it would take more time than they had, and especially everyone who thinks it's too hard or takes too much time or, even worse, think it will be more work than fun. I teach not just the violin but music. I provide context. I teach some music theory and music history. I think it helps to understand what you are playing and where it came from. I have degrees in composition and music theory as well as undergraduate degrees in economics and philosophy. Also, I really emphasize sound.
