I specialize in teaching beginners with no experience learn the fun part, which in my opinion is learning to play songs. Although l primarily teach the folk, folk-rock, protest, and classic rock of the 60s and 70s but am happy to utilize songs that my clients want to learn. I suggest weekly lessons so the student can have adequate practice time yet build upon previous lessons. I charge $40/hr if you come to me and $50/hr if l travel to you. Feel free to contact me at 657/480-6211 with any questions you have and be well. Peace & blessings, Samuel...

Nicoletta O. says, "My son has been having private classical guitar lessons with Mrs Cobo for about 7 years. She is demanding and expects the very best from her students but she has thought my son to be a very good guitarist and he loves to perform and show off his skills. Mrs Cobo clearly loves teaching and is a very dedicated teacher and musician." Read more

Sara M. says, "Michelle is the piano teacher I wished for when I was a kid! Michelle is patient, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. One of the things my 7-year-old loves most about Michelle is that she lets her explore her musical creative side. Michelle has guided my daughter in composing her own music, tackling tough songs of her own choosing and in introducing instruments like the harmonica into her selections. Michelle is always upbeat and full of positive energy and as a result my daughter loves her music lessons." Read more

Reviews for Hoboken electric guitar lessons

Spiros is the best. As a guitarist, his skill and tone is tops. If you want to learn blues and rock, you cannot find a better teacher. He also has amazing technique. When you get into bends, and moving quickly on the neck, you really need technique and his teaching will get you there. He is also a great personality. Whether on stage at a NYC-gig or in a lesson, his enthusiasm and humor make taking lessons enjoyable. You can't do better if looking to improve your guitar skills.

I am a graduate from Berklee school of music with a master in jazz studies. I studied music in an academic setting my entire life. But then, I discovered that I was thought the fast way. The way to just get a gig. I then through a friend discovered joe Solomon. Joe’s teaching is the way to internalize the language of music. It’s the way to have a voice and a vocabulary. Not only to get a gig but to feel and experience music. Joe changed my way of seen music forever. He is an amazing musician as well as an amazing human been. If you are serious about Music you must have lessons with Mr. Solomon. He will change your life.

I am so glad we found Michelle of Take Note Lessons. We have a 5th grader and 8th grader who both actively enjoy piano lessons and are both progressing well. Michelle adapts her teaching style to fit students' personalities - we see this demonstrated weekly as our girls certainly have their individual quirks....and nothing seems to phase her! She's open and warm enough that they both feel they can talk to her and yet they quickly buckle down to work too. Strongly recommend!
