About

I pay a lot of attention to my students and what they want to get out of music. Whether it is play professionally or just get better at a hobby that they enjoy. It is my job as a teacher to give the student the tools that they need to succeed.

I enjoy being able to help a student progress in a way that they wouldn't have been able to if they were doing it without guidence.

Frequently asked questions

The first lessons is mainly to access where the student is at and where they want to go.  From that point I will formulate a plan for how I get them from where they are to their desired musical destination.  I may also add additional things in order to make them a more well rounded musician if I feel like it will help them out in the long run.

I am a trumpet player and educator with a Bachelors in music from Morehead State University and a Masters in music from Rutgers Mason Gross school of the arts.  While studying at those universities I also took both piano and jazz piano classes.  My teaching experience includes both teaching private lessons and teaching trumpet and jazz through Clark Montessori Highschool in Cincinnati Ohio and Mason County High school on Maysville Kentucky. As a performer I have played many styles of music from Jazz, to Classical, to Rock as well as Latin Styles. I have also played at various festivals including the Cincinnati Blues Festival, The Jersey City Jazz Festival, and the Newark Puerto Rican day Festival and backed up artists such as Domingo Quinones, Lorna Luft and JD Allen.

My standard pricing system is for 30 minutes it is $45 and for an hour it is $60.

I started teaching privately in highschool.  I taught lessons to students in the middle school attached to my highschool.  I feel like if I have figured something out I would love to share that with someone and try to make their learning experience quicker and easier than my own.

I have worked with ages from 11-18
