Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I interview the student to determine what they would like to get out of their lesson. It is important for me to know what they are looking for. Once that has been decided, I figure out how the student learns. Are they auditory, kinesthetic, or visual? I determine their personalty style and then we get to work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Class A LPGA Professional and current President of the LPGA Northeast.
I am a Certified Titleist Performance Institute Fitness and Junior Golf Professional, Certified U.S. Kids Golf Instructor, Golf Pysch Certified, Certified Mental Coach, and Certified in Behavior, Motivation, Judgment, and Emotional Intelligence.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Half Hour Private Lesson= $50
One Hour Private Lesson $90
Game Improvment Package= $240
How did you get started teaching?
I played on the LPGA Tour for three years, lost my card, and married PGA Tour player Allen Miller. After Allen retired from the Tour, he said he wanted to teach.
Allen is the second purest ball striker on the PGA Tour that world renowned short game guru Dave Pelz has ever tested. He played in five Masters Championships and has taught me how to teach.
What types of students have you worked with?
I teach anyone between the ages of 3 to 93, and total beginners to PGA Tour Comeback Players of the Year.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am the Director of the LPGA Girls Golf Club of Buffalo. We inspire and educate junior students how to enjoy and master the game of golf.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would tell students to be sure they interview the teacher to be sure they are the right fit, and find someone who is qualified.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should ask themselves what they really want to get out of their instruction. They should know how much time and money they are willing to invest in their improvement.
