J.Coles Hip Hop Dance Kids
About
Here at Hip Hop Dance Kids we create an environment in which the students feel like they can be themselves. Offering them a canvas to paint new ideas, a platform to be heard and appreciated while having the most fun.
Seeing the excitement on all of the students faces before class begins. Allowing kids to be kids and watching them blossom in the process is amazing. Making our students feel like they can accomplish anything after taking the class is by far the most rewarding aspect.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Making the student feel extremely comfortable in their new environment is most important. Taking a sof approach with kidsness, laughter, and familiarity has been shown to be highly affective.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Jaison Coles was born and raised in Harlem, NY. Having a strong creative and artistic upbringing supported his love for music and dance. His father was a musician, trumpet player who traveled the world with greats such as James Brown and Wilson Picket. His sister is a singer/celebrity designer, and oldest brother was a rapper in the 80’s. He attended the Harlem School of the Arts and DePaul University in Chicago where he learned to play multiple instruments, sing and dance. His talent was also shaped by the rising street culture of Hip Hop where he developed a love for urban art. Jaisons' passion for teaching led him into the education field. He currently works as a Teacher in the Rockville Centre School District. Hip Hop Dance Kids was established in 2017 with the intention of supporting a void for children who were seeking a program that catered to their needs. Those students who didn’t play sports or have an after school activity needed an outlet to express themselves. From that point on the program never looked back. Based in Rockville Centre, New York Hip Hop Dance Kids is now home to over 300 students ranging from ages 3-13 yrs., and now classes for adults as well. The mission has never changed; foster growth, self esteem and build character. Always believe in your true self and live your purpose. No matter age or ability anyone can dance!
