What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First lesson is very important it lets you know what your student wants to approach. Does he/she has an experrience in any type of dance. From there we can build our lessons more effectively so we can avoid missunderstood in future, and approach his/her goals faster.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 21 years of experience in ballroom and latin dancing. I'm a professional dancer and teacher. I created a lot of wedding dances and show numbers.
Styles of dancing I teach: Waltz, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Tango, Samba, Mambo, Salsa, Merengue, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Swing, West coast swing, Hustle, Pasodoble, Argentine tango.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages males and females including couples.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If your teacher can show you 3-4 dances and you can do it with music than you have right teacher.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What he/she wants to achieve, what type of dances, is it for fun or he/she wants to do competitions.
