Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The interview and analysis aspect of the first lesson is the most-important step to improvement. We go over a comprehensive assessment of golf history, injuries, strengths, weaknesses, and goals. I use video analysis in every lesson, along with launch monitor technology from Foresight Sports and TrackMan to gain a detailed and measured perspective into exactly what's happening in the golf swing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been teaching and coaching full-time for over 8-years, given over 10,000 lessons, and hold the following certifications: - Class-A PGA Professional since 2012 - PGA Certified Professional in Teaching & Coaching - Trackman Level 2 Certified - Swing Catalyst Level 2 Certified - TPI Level 1
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

How did you get started teaching?
I started playing competitive golf as a teenager and certainly developed a love for the game. When I started to consider a long-term career in the golf-industry, I gravitated towards teaching the game. An interest in the golf instruction world has developed over the years into a passion to be the best coach possible, and I'm thankful to be able to do what I love each day!
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with golfers of all ages and skill levels. I believe my youngest student ever was just under 3 years old (it went better than you might think)! I work with collegiate players and competitive juniors, as well as club champions at their respective clubs, but still love to work with beginners and everyone in between. If you want to learn, and you want to get better, I want to be a part of that process!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Golf instructors provide a complex service that goes far beyond identifying golf swing flaws. Building a relationship with a student is just as important as the information or "prescriptions" they may supply. Take the time to do research, talk to the coach you're thinking of working with, and do your best to ensure that they are just as invested in your golf game as you are!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
- How long have you been teaching, but more importantly, what have you done to improve as a coach over the years? - What tools or technology do you use in your coaching? - What is the most important thing in the student/teacher relationship? - "Great communication" is the answer you're looking for. - Are you available at the times I can take lessons? - This is my goal - what do I need to do to get there?
