I was fortunate enough to study with some great teachers during my life and that experience thaught me how to create a method of learning that I first applied to myself and then to my students. Learning is a process that requires time and I personally believe that this process must be enjoyed. I found that the best way that makes this possible is learning through music first, getting to understand and internalize the fundamentals of your instrument (drums in this case) by playing together with the music you like. That is the first step that allows the student to go deeper in the knowledge of drumming while having fun. I've been teaching profe...

Being a successful drummer is about having good time and good relationships. Shannon excels at both. He explains what tools you need to sound professional, while modeling what a “good hang” is in the music scene. Shannon finds the perfect balance of explanation and demonstration. He targets the smaller areas of musicality that can elevate a drummer from a 6 to a 10. Broadway drummers need to play in multiple genres. I have sat with Shannon and experienced his effortless shifts from rock to swing to pop. As a teacher, he perfectly communicates the idiosyncrasies of each style. I absolutely recommend Shak as a drumming coach. He is extremely friendly and personable. I have played drums in the past but overtime had forgotten certain things and wanted to brush up on them. He was able to pinpoint what I needed to work on and as well as what my strengths were. Overall a great lesson and would definitely book another in the very near future.

Patient, fun teacher! He's a big believer in the 'the basics' and mastering the first steps (it made things easier down the road, for sure).

Tom Criblez is a very good drum teacher and a cool person. I like the way he is teaching. He teaches me all important stuff I got to know as a beginner. He loves what he is doing and believes in what he is doing. As I'm a "zero" musician he made me believe that I can play drums and I can. And just few lessons later I could see I am progressing.

DJ is absolutely fantastic! He is teaching my 8 and 12 year old boys piano and guitar. He is a phenomenal musician and got my kids super excited about music in general and practicing in particular. Amazing! He is young, chill and knowlegeable. Always on time, always great attitude. Fell lucky to have found DJ. Highly recommend :)
