I’ve developed an efficient, easy to follow program to teach English as a Second Language and Spanish as a Second Language. I hold a bachelor degree from City College of New York and a master from Queens College of New York. I’ve been teaching since 2005 and love what I do.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, I meet a student for an initial chat to find out the student’s needs and capabilities. Based on the exchange I make a recommendation that best suits the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a bachelor in liberal arts from the City College of New York and a master degree from Queens College.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $40 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching by accident. I was approached by friends and family members who needed help. I discovered I liked teaching and was good at it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with adult students. Some need help perfecting their English to attend college. Others need to learn Spanish for job related reasons.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently assisted a students who needed help getting into college, but lacked the necessary level of writing to secure college admission. He was able to get into a college of his choice and that made me very happy.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I’d advise students to hire a teacher who loves what he/she does. I’d also strongly suggest hiring a teacher who at the minimum has a bachelor’s degree from a US college.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should think hard about their ultimate goals in learning English or Spanish. They should also think about their capabilities to learn a Language.
