About
I started teaching Spanish 25 years ago. I love working with children and through the years I have created a perfect curriculum to make sure children learn not only to understand but to Speak in Spanish.
Since 1996 I have provided Spanish Instruction in a Montessori School and in 2010 the first immersion Program was offered in the School. In 2015 PapagayoSi was opened to provide continued learning to children in Kindergarten through Elementary School in an after school program and to provide private tutoring. Since March 2020 I have been offering private and group instruction on Line.
I'm a certified Teacher in Early Childhood and Spanish Education.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Language aquisition is work in progress. I always start with the basics, greetings, calendar, ten most used verbs, all about me (the student) and seasonal vocabulary. The building of a new language is like an inverted pyramid and always use the three period lesson approach before introducing a new lesson (present, practice, master the concept).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Montessori Certified Teacher and a Certified Spanish Instructor.
