About
My passion has always been the care and education of children. Every student is tutored based on their abilities and capabilities, this ensures the goals established are met. I started tutoring and working as a babysitter when I was 14 years old back in Puerto Rico. This year will be my 33rd anniversary in working with children. I am fully bilingual English<>Spanish, have a AA in Early Childhood Education and Development and I am CPR and first aid certified.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
In the first meeting I have a conversation with the student and the family to get to know them better and learn about their goals. I answer any questions they may have during this introduction time, this builds rapport and helps everyone involved feel at ease. I assess the student to learn their interests and develop a plan that will help the student reach the goals established.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
AA in Early Childhood Education and Development, years of continued education. Have worked as translator English<>Spanish for over 25 years.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with preschool age up to 12th grade. Have worked with special needs students, Spanish speaking only students and ELL.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
To let the teacher know what works best for them at the time of studying, what they find easy and what things they struggle with. This will help in developing a plan in which the student will feel comfortable and be able to work at his/her maximum potential.
