I love music and I love teaching and mostly I love teaching music to children! Each one learns according to his- her strengths and then with joy and laughter and tried and true teaching methods all excel in their technique and confidence in playing the piano. JOY. I am a highly organized, outcome-driven and motivated professional private music teacher with over thirty years of experience, three years of experience in the classroom as music assistant/accompanist in Indiana, and have been music directing youth chorus’s ranging from elementary, high school, and adult levels. As well, l have worked as a music/vocal director for various regional theatres and have worked with all ages in this regard. Currently, I serve as Artistic Director/Music Director at Mt. I have taught private piano to students of all ages since the early 1980s. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Music specializing in Piano Pedagogy from Furman University in 1984. Additionally. I have been a choral conductor in Miami Dade Public Schools as well as several churches in Miami, FL, and Cincinnati OH. Until recently, I was a Special educator in the Cincinnati Public School System. I am now retired and teach English to children in China in the early hours of each morning.
