Oxford Music Academy is a wonderful place for your children to learn music! It’s a positive atmosphere that encourages and challenges your child to go above and beyond. My children have made such great advancements, that you wouldn’t realize they’ve only been taking lessons for one year! I love how we can come at one time and lessons for different instruments can be taught, in the same location, making it convenient for families! The Academy is also very flexible in schedules for lessons, make up lessons and performances! All around it has been an awesome experience!

My son had taken piano lessons from 3 different teachers. They would hand him a book and he would begrudgingly learn to play "On Top of Old Smokey" and other traditional selections. He really didn't care for these lessons, practiced under parental pressure only, and eventually the lessons stopped. But we decided to give it one more try. After weeding through our options, we settled on meeting with Josh. Josh is a consummate professional. His perspective on teaching music is unique. He tailors music choices to the learner. For instance, my son has learned to play Moonlight Sonata (what a beautiful piece), but he has also learned how to play the theme to the Skyrim video game (a triumphant sounding piece). He teaches how to put your own spin on the music you love. He is nothing short of an incredible teacher with a depth of appreciation for music. Hire him. Work with him for a few lessons. I promise you will never regret it for a second. I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about Josh. We wouldn't go to anyone else!
