Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It starts with knowing what YOUR goals are. There are always ways to achieve them and I can help find the right path, not the easiest, but the right path. We work with everyday fundamentals to help create your swing, maximize your game and get the most fun out of it was can. We build toward your goals, then one day, all you might need me for is a check up. From juniors and beginners to performance athletes and scratch golfers, I help provide with a plan that works on and off the course.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching for 20 years. Titleist Performance trainer. 2 time teacher of the year for my area. Personal trainer and nutrionist.

How did you get started teaching?
I have been playing golf since I was 4. High school and college golf, then on to the mini tours. I truly started focusing on teaching after college when I found myself being more fascinated in the mechanics of the swing then competion itself. Ever since then I have been learning all I can about posture, body movement and the dynamics of the swing.
What types of students have you worked with?
My level of students spans the gamet. From people who don't even know how to hold a club to those who are on tour. The one thing that unites us all, is passion for the game
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A student teacher realtionship is that like any other one person puts trust in. Whether it be a hairsylist, doctor, personal trainer or anyone whom you put your care in to make improvements, understanding of goals and trust are key. Teachers with agendas won't alwaays have your best interstest in heart, but a teacher that listens more than talks with help you achieve what YOU want.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What is my primary goal? Lower scores? More enjoyment? Want to beat your buddies? What are my strengths and weaknesses? What do I really love about this game? What am I afraid of when I pick up the club?
