I would highly recommend Amy's Piano Academy. My daughter started learning from Amy when she had just turned 4 years old at All About Kids. Even though my daughter could not read, Amy's method of music and numbers (1 thru 5) proved highly effective! Cecilia is now 6 and is playing more complex pieces and learning to read music. After 2 years, Cecilia still loves the piano and enjoys practicing at home as a result of Amy's patience and knowledge. The foundation Amy has set for Cecilia's musical growth is outstanding, and I am very appreciative of the monthly concerts to help Cecilia's confidence when performing in front of a crowd. My son had taken piano lessons from 3 different teachers. They would hand him a book and he would begrudgingly learn to play "On Top of Old Smokey" and other traditional selections. He really didn't care for these lessons, practiced under parental pressure only, and eventually the lessons stopped. But we decided to give it one more try.
