ANTHONY CRACCHIOLO took up drumming in sixth grade, just a few weeks after the historic Live Aid concert, and he’s never looked back.
A gifted percussionist with an M.A. in Performance from the Berklee College of Music, over the past 25 years Anthony has developed his chops as a performer as well as a teacher of all styles and theory. He’s inspired generations of local drummers. Some have gone on to pursue their passions for music — and become instructors themselves — at places like Juilliard, Berklee, West Chester University, Temple, and Penn State.
Anthony also has significant experience in modifying percussion instruction for a range of special needs students over the past 15 years. His caring yet disciplined approach to teaching the art of percussion to special needs kids has helped students from their early elementary years into high school, and some into their early twenties.
Anthony’s 25 years of performance experience includes various cover, wedding, and original bands.

My son thrived during his lessons with Anthony! Not only becoming more proficient at the instrument - but Anthony integrated many little life lessons throughout, doing well at school, and behaving etc. Highly recommend him!
My son has been taking lessons from Anthony for over 3 years now. We're so happy we found him. He's always upbeat and enthusiastic about teaching. Even after 3 years, my son still looks forward to his lessons.
My 8 year old daughter takes lessons from Anthony & she loves it. Not only is she excited to go to her lesson every week but she’s been making progress & actually sounds pretty good on the drums.
I started taking drum lessons with Anthony at the age of 12 with no prior music experience. He was always a great teacher in terms of explaining concepts in a way that makes sense and he helped me work towards my own personal goals as a new drummer. I will say that the first couple of years was a very frustrating time for me personally, as I felt like I was putting in the appropriate amount of work outside of lessons but I wasn't progressing as I'd have hoped. Anthony kept encouraging me and pushing me to keep at it and not to give up. After a couple of years, I felt like it finally clicked for me and I credit Anthony for that moment. I am still drumming today and have played and recorded with numerous bands / ensembles through high school, college, and beyond and have made a great deal of my close friends through music. I'd highly recommend Anthony to anyone thinking about picking up drums, especially those with no prior experience.
At the first lesson I will evaluate the students ability. If they have never played before we will discuss and go over basic grip and hand position. By our second lesson we will start to read drum notation and get the ball rolling.
