About
I enjoy a variety of music and play the acoustic, electric, and classical guitars in fingerstyle, strumming, and lead guitar styles. I took lessons at a young age in classical music and learned to read notes and play classical studies.
I enjoy helping others learn to play the guitar through foundations in music theory and progressing towards chords, rhythm, and lead guitar. I'd like to immerse my students in a variety of playing styles and music from classical, rock, and jazz.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For beginning students I use Christopher Parkening's guitar method books to teach a foundation in theory to include reading music and how to play fingerstyle and classical music. I also incorporate rhythm and instruction on chords to immerse the student in a variety of styles and techniques.

I took music lessons at a young age that taught me to how to read notes and understand basic music theory through classical music. I picked up the acoustic and electrical guitars in my late teens and learned how to play rhythm and lead guitar solos.
