Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to find out the student's skill level and what aspects of their game are needing the most attention.
I like to see the student's short game skills (putting, chipping, and pitching) first and then progress to the full swing. This can be done in a 45-minute lesson and I have given many lessons to newcomers that need help with their full swing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a PGA Professional for 28 years. My education in coaching and teaching started when I was in college when I worked at a golf school and observed my boss and many great teachers of the game. My experience as a coach has been a culmination of golf schools, clinics, and private lessons. Currently, I am a Level III First Tee Coach at The First Tee of Greater Austin.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing is $50 for a 45-minute lesson. I do offer packages if you are interested in 5 or 10 lessons.
