About
Founded in 1999, Mariposas Spanish School, located in Austin, TX and surrounding areas, offers quality Spanish classes to children ages 2-10. As a non-profit organization, Mariposas has expanded from just 8 students to over 250, now offering classes in 14 different locations. The curriculum combines Total Physical Response, The Montessori Method, The Natural Approach and the Seven Intelligences, taught by native-speaking teachers. The hands-on, thematically organized program uses music, literature, games, visual aids, sign language, and art to engage students. Classes are held at schools, homes, and community centers.
