About this pro

I Teach at Two Locations:

Tomball Country Club, 22303 Walden Way, Tomball, Texas 77375

Barlows Golf Range, 9210 Hwy. 6 N, Houston, Texas 77095

I have been teaching golf for 61years and I have taught over 11,000 private golf lessons and numerous junior, women and men clinics and group lessons.

I teach about 400-500 lessons per year and that keeps my instructions at a sharp, high level.

I  have had much success teaching my students, i.e., I taught one man in West Texas and he shot par golf in one year. Some of my students, both men and women, have won their Club Championships and some junior golfers have won golf scholarships to college.

Helping people improve their golf so they may enjoy their golf game even more. I get as much pleasure helping someone improve their golf game as I do playing a great game of golf myself.

If you do not have golf clubs I can help you buy the correct clubs that fit your style and your swing. I have attended several fitting seminars and I have 61years experience in helping people buy the correct specifications on golf clubs.

I have always been a good player and my lowest score was a 12 under par 60 and I first beat my age when I was 64 and I shot 63.

I won the West Texas PGA Tournament at the Hillcrest Country Club in Lubbock, Texas. I played both the PGA Tour and the Seniors Tour briefly.

I found out I was a better teacher of the game than a player of the game.

his down to earth approach and knowledge applicable to the needs of senior golfers

  • Sam Endacott

Patience! Not overloaded with instructions. Small adjustments made with explanations. Easy to talk to.

  • Robert Vargo

Bobby has been around awhile and has seen quite a few swings. He works with what you bring him and tweaks the ‘little stuff’ which is making a big difference.

I had taken lessons before and it alway seemed that the instructor was preoccupied with something else. Bobby watched every swing and explained to me my flaws and how certain drills/adjustments will correct the problem. He also was very supportive of my overall efforts. I have improved my game from my lessons with Bobby.

i grew up as a caddy and started playing golf at age ten. After college I got in the golf business and started teaching at age 22.

Men, Women and Children. Beginning golfers, intermediate players and experienced good players. Several of my students have gone on to win their Club Championships and youngsters who have played college golf.

i am an accomplished teacher of golf and I am very proud of this feat. I teach with the patience of The Biblical Job.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Recently I taught a gentlemen who had played golf for 19 years and he sliced the ball to the right the entire 19 years and I instructed him in one lesson and he started drawing and hooking the golf ball. He picked up 25 yards on his driver and it would also be in the fairway.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Hire an experienced PGA Golf Professional to teach you the golf swing. It takes a lot of time and experience to learn to be a good golf instructor.

I have taught for over 61years and I teach about 400 - 500 students each year which keeps my teaching skills sharp.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

#1 How much experience do you have.

#2 How many total students have you taught with specifics on their success to learn the golf swing?

#3 Find and read their reviews.
