My passion in life was dancing. I started dancing at the age of 4 in a Ballet School called Martha Myer in New Orleans, LA. I learned to tap dance, jazz, Lyrical. I then moved from New Orleans to Miami and I didnt return to another dancing school, but i continued to dance. My cousins and uncle decided to start a dancing and singing group ( i couldnt sing, needless to say i sounded like the bass of the group lol) We practiced and performed at different local events. We performed in front of thousands of people and were even given the Key to the City of Kenner, Louisiana. We performed alot of Merengues, Salsas, Cumbias, and Puntas. In my high school years, I joined the school dance team and performed in the Mardi Gras parades. We also performed for school events. I love dancing, performing, and choreographing. Growing up in a Hispanic home, we always had music playing. My father was a singer/musician and as i got older i recall him having a gig at a nearby club and he would always sing and dance to prepare for his performance. I can remember thinking to myself that one day i to would be gettng ready to go perform somewhere. So After high school i started choreographing Quinceaneras and I loved it. I was the first person to introduce the youth I taught this genre of music as the tunes of choice ranged from Bachata, Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia, and Waltz.

I have worked wth students of all races, and ages.

First determine what your goal is. Then find a teacher that teaches the kind of music your looking to learn how to do. Then browse your area for potential teachers. Have a meet and greet that way you are both establishing great communication and setting goals and discuss expectations.

Think about what interest you the most. What type of music are you looking for. How far do you want to go. How dedicated would you be to learning something new.
