Billeo Golf

About

Been playing golf for over 40 years w/ a single digit handicap and I understand the mechanics of the golf swing to help amateurs achieve their goals. I work with single digit handicap to beginners.

Have played in US Open Qualifiers and enjoy teaching the game to those who want to have an enjoyable golf experience. I've been teaching since last decade where students learn to get better at their own pace. Hit 'em straight, long and learn the game to lower scores. My goal is to teach students a simple, repeatable golf swing.

I love teaching students to understand the knowledge of basic techniques of grip, stance, weight shift, backswing and downswing. I make sure my students understand where they are and where they need to be in all aspects of the game, especially their swing mechanics. It's a game you can play for the good part of your life. Golf is a work in progress that takes time and commitment, but can be extremely rewarding.

I have never taken a golf lesson before but let me just first say Bill was absolutely a phenomenal teacher. He struck the perfect balance between constructive feedback and encouragement. He didn’t rush me or make me feel like he was wanting to leave as soon as possible and was truly a professional. Honestly, after just one session, I was hitting the ball better than I ever have. I also appreciated that Bill didn’t pressure me into another lesson. He wanted me to first work on everything we talked about and then come back. Overall, I highly recommend Bill. If you listen and execute what he says, you won’t be disappointed.

Bill is a phenomenal instructor. He focuses on the fundamentals and explains them in easy to understand ways. He brings a lot of energy and fun throughout his lessons. In just a few lessons he broke bad habits that I’ve accrued over several years. I wish I had taken lessons from him years ago. I have definitely learned a lot from him and look forward to future sessions with him to get even better. I would highly recommend Bill as an instructor.

Ive only had 2 lessons with Bill but have already seen improvement in this short time. What I have really like is that Bill takes time to look at your swing and is able to makes tweaks that have significant impact. He also explains how that adjustment effects the overall swing in a way that is understandable. Looking forward to future sessions to further improve my game!

I was cut from my HS baseball team in January.  I felt lost but I knew I needed to find something to do. That’s when my parents suggested trying a new sport. I decided to give golf a try and set a goal to try out for the HS team in August. I thought it would be easy to pick up because I could swing a bat, so I should be able to swing a golf club. I knew I needed lessons which led me to Bill. During our first lesson I quickly realized I was wrong as I could barely get the ball in the air. Even though my first time wasn’t great, Bill gave me the right pointers and began setting me on a path to success. I took what I learned from our first lesson, and in a week of practicing I started hitting the ball correctly. As with the nature of golf, I would struggle, but Bill was always available to help me. I always felt confident in my swing every time we were done. He guided me through all aspects of the game and always had the answer and fixes to my problems. No matter how long it had been between lessons Bill always checked in on me to see how I was doing. My game continued to evolve with each and every lesson, along with my scores as they got lower and lower. I started to feel it would be possible to make the team, but as time was winding down every day was stressful. I even thought I lost my swing a couple days before tryouts. But I knew I could count on Bill to help and guide me. After my last lesson before tryouts, I felt the best I’d ever felt, and I knew I had what it took. The first day of tryouts was stressful as I shot a 95. I knew I could do better and I did. The next day I shot 90. The following day 87, and on the last day I shot 86, my personal best round at the time. I even made the team. But what really got me through those days were the lessons, the guidance, the mindsets, and the constant check-ins. I would have never been able to go from picking up a club for the first time to shooting 86 in five months without Bill. I’m very grateful for all his help and guidance. Anything is possible at this point and I owe it all to Bill.

First of all, I am as beginner as it gets!
I picked up a club for the first time 3 weeks ago and the consensus of everyone I ran into was build a foundation through lessons since I don’t have years of bad habits to break or change.
Right off the start, the message sent to me from Bill told me exactly what he wanted to work on before we even stepped on the range. His communication before, during and even after was and has been top notch!
One of the things that personally hit home for me was Bill isn’t a sit back and tell you and expect you to figure it out. He doesn’t just coach, he can play, he will show you exactly what he is asking you to do! Not only was he hitting the ball further with his 5iron then the guys hitting their drivers. He was calling his spot and drawing and fading on demand. Point being, I felt he was there teaching me because he genuinely loves the game because from what I saw he is more then capable to compete in tournaments where I am certain the payout is more then his affordable hourly rate. That being said, on top of the communication he actually got there 15 mins early to get started with me and stayed over the hour. This session produced my best hitting since I picked up the clubs. He left me with plenty to work on before our next session!
Thx again, Bill!

Frequently asked questions

I ask their experience w/ the game of golf and then their individual goals. Everyone is different in the knowledge and experience. I can very quickly analyze their swing and make changes for immediate effect.

Many years of mostly self taught getting to a low single digit handicap.

I charge by the hour for a lesson. I want to make sure the lesson is understood and make time for Q&A.

I was asked last decade to start teaching since I played many rounds and have a practical approach to the game. During this relationship w/ Lessons.com, I have learned that my teaching techniques are simply communicated and understood by my students.

It gives me great joy to see this progress and to hear from my students their successes on the range and on the course after our sessions.

From beginners to low handicap players.

Look for someone who has passion for the game of golf and can explain the instruction in a simple manner for understanding.

Depends on where one is w/ their game. That's why I want students to tell me their experience and goals.
