About

Been playing golf for over 40 years w/ a single digit handicap and I understand the mechanics of the golf swing to help amateurs achieve their goals. I work with single digit handicap to beginners.

Have played in US Open Qualifiers and enjoy teaching the game to those who want to have an enjoyable golf experience. I've been teaching since last decade where students learn to get better at their own pace. Hit 'em straight, long and learn the game to lower scores. My goal is to teach students a simple, repeatable golf swing.

I love teaching students to understand the knowledge of basic techniques of grip, stance, weight shift, backswing and downswing. I make sure my students understand where they are and where they need to be in all aspects of the game, especially their swing mechanics. It's a game you can play for the good part of your life. Golf is a work in progress that takes time and commitment, but can be extremely rewarding.

Bill the Thrill. Bill the Magician. Bill Nye the Golfing Guy.
Whatever name you give him, Bill flat‑out TEACHES!
I’ve been to the fancy coaches with their simulators, cameras, and sky‑high prices. I’ve worked with PGA pros, “elite” instructors, and every local range guy in between. They all know how to sell. Bill knows how to teach.
In the first 20 minutes, he fixed mechanics I’d been fighting for a year. He doesn’t force you into someone else’s swing — not his, not Tiger’s, not some robot‑generated ideal. Bill helps you build your swing, with a level of understanding that makes the clubs feel like an extension of him.
You’ll learn more in one lesson with Bill than you will spending thousands anywhere else. The man has it, no question. If God ever decided to pick up golf, He’d probably ask Bill for a lesson so you might wanna get on the roster.

Bill is great, gives you what you need to know in a no-fluff but chill way. Doesn’t feel like you’re being instructed, feels like you’re just being guided by a pro who loves the game. And a vibe to hang with!

Bill is a fantastic instructor. He helped me from when I first started golf 2 years ago at a 22 handicap and helped bring me down to a 9 in about 6 lessons. He understands how a golfer thinks and is able to take the pressure off with his humor and his easy to understand instructions. He takes the time to get to know you and that helps him understand what he can connect with what you like to golf. A great example of this is with skipping rocks. I think everyone at some point has skipped a rock and this motion really helped my swing. This brought confidence to my game.

Bill is THE man! Had the patience to deal with my bad shots, while reminding me what to focus on. Very funny, was in a great mood and was willing to work with my crazy work schedule. Will continue to use him as my golf coach. Thanks Bill

Frequently asked questions

I ask their experience w/ the game of golf and then their individual goals. Everyone is different in the knowledge and experience. I can very quickly analyze their swing and make changes for immediate effect.

Many years of mostly self taught getting to a low single digit handicap.

I charge by the hour for a lesson. I want to make sure the lesson is understood and make time for Q&A.

I was asked last decade to start teaching since I played many rounds and have a practical approach to the game. During this relationship w/ Lessons.com, I have learned that my teaching techniques are simply communicated and understood by my students.

It gives me great joy to see this progress and to hear from my students their successes on the range and on the course after our sessions.

From beginners to low handicap players.

I was able to play Bethpage Black in NY and had an incredible score. Get with me and I'll tell you what it was!

Look for someone who has passion for the game of golf and can explain the instruction in a simple manner for understanding.

Depends on where one is w/ their game. That's why I want students to tell me their experience and goals.
