About
Hi Everyone! My name is Valondria but a lot of my students and families call me Val! I began dancing about 4 years ago and started teaching in the last 2 years in various styles of hip hop, contemporary, popping, r&b, shuffling, and jazz-funk. Dance is my #1 joy and I love to share that passion and growth with others. Teaching in itself has really allowed me to understand the craft, and magic of movement, while simultaneously pouring my found knowledge into my students. Although I am labeled as a dance teacher, I feel as though my ultimate goal is to train my students on how to use their mind to accomplish the goals they have internally set for themsleves.
What I love most about training my dancers is being able to see the spark go off inside of them when they accomplish a personal goal, or just realize how capable and talented they truly are.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I use each encounter with my students to learn them on a personal level. My biggest goal when teaching is to understand the students learning style (because we all attain information differently) well enough to know exactly how to give them the best guidance on working towards their personal goals. Building confidence in my students is a huge part of getting them to flourish as dancers. I make sure to breathe life and positivity into them any chance I get in hopes that they will someday be able to do so for themselves.
