Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to invite new students to come out to a discounted Introductory Lesson to give my teaching style a try. : )
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
...20 plus years of teaching, 5 dance degrees, plus performance, social, and competition experience.
How did you get started teaching?
I grew up with an intense training in ballet, tap, and jazz and was passionately involved in music, choir, and theatrical arts. After high school, I went on to college to achieve my B.A. degree in Psychology and my Masters Degree in Theology. I spent over 12 years as an academic teacher. In this career, as a ballroom dance instructor, my love for dancing, the fine arts, and caring for other people's emotional wellbeing combined into a perfect fit for the whole of me! I can't wait to share all that I have to offer with you.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've been privileged to work with a great diversity of students for any variety of reasons:
All levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
Goals: Hobby, Fitness, Social, Wedding, Showcase, Competition
Disabilities: Blind, arthritic
Ages: 18 and up
