What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First step is evaluation. We have to assess where the student currently is with his/her ability, then we move forward from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified through 2 different golf academies. I also have over 30 years experience in and around golf.
How did you get started teaching?
It actually started while working with my father at a young age, and from there I discovered I have a unique way of helping others.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students across the spectrum, from young to old, from brand new to college/semi pro level.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was privileged to watch my son play at the Golf Club of Houston. He is currently 15 years old and doing great.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
There has to chemistry between the student and the teacher and well as a level of trust and commitment.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
In my opinion they need to be honest with themselves and have a clear understanding of where they would like to go with their golf game.
