About
Our goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment, where kids and young adolescents can express themselves through the art of dance. We like to ensure each child is given the opportunity to improve their self-esteem, confidence, physical fitness, flexibility, and social skills. En Pointe Dance Academy stands out from our competitors because we offer smaller class sizes, so that each dancer can get the attention they deserve. We also pride ourselves on providing exceptional services at reasonable rate! We have competitive and non-competitive options for dancers ages 3 to 19. We also offer private lessons, group lessons, professional choreography, home dance camps, summer workshops, etc... You may find out more information on our website.
I love everything about teaching! However, what I like the most is seeing the smile on the kids face when they finally accomplish a difficult skill or when they realize how much they’ve progressed!

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching 6 years ago by volunteering at local schools, after school programs, and churches. I would put on end of the year showcase for the kids relative and/ or friends. From there I realized how much I loved teaching the art of dance to young children and decided to open up a dance studio of my own.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages and levels, including drill team participants and adult aged students
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Not every dance studio is the same! En Pointe Dance Academy doesn’t believe in following a strict outlined curriculum. Each child progresses different and we respect that. Therefore, we set goals and work with each individual child one-on-one until each goal is mastered.
If you are undecided or unsure about our studio, come take a FREE trial class or a FREE private lesson. I promise you will not regret it!

What are your goals (short and long term)?
What is your purpose?
Are you looking for a hobby or to pursue a professional career? (This is important because it determines the level of training you will need)
