Hey There, my name is Jamie Lovato, I'm an LPGA Teaching Professional and I have been teaching for 10 years. I am a Callaway club fitter and have a Flight Scope Launch Monitor. I want to help you get better at this game, improve your skills, and control your mental thoughts. You need a partner in this game, and I'm here to help you reach your goals in golf! An hour lesson is $120 an hour, if you buy a series, you will get a discount.

“I never thought I’d take to golf, and I believed I was way too old to get started. But my golfer husband convinced me to take some clinics so I finally—reluctantly—agreed. He thought it was something we could do together.

We have recently rejoined the LCCC, so I signed up with Jamie for a beginners’ clinic. To my surprise—and BECAUSE of Jamie—I had a blast. So I took another clinic. Through these classes, I have made friends with other beginners, and now some of us practice and are beginning to play together.

Jamie is an excellent instructor who is knowledgeable, clear and encouraging in her coaching, without being shaming or intimidating. She makes regular, effective tweaks in her students’ form and psychology, and she understands we can focus only on one or two things at a time. She brings a dry-erase board for each lesson with bullet points for the day for each initiative: driving, putting, chipping, pitching, etc. We photograph the board and I have now made a notebook and even matching, “cheat-sheet” index cards that I carry in my golf bag. She has also helped us choose the best set of clubs for our particular physiques.

She’s a jewel and I would highly recommend her to any fledgling (and even experienced) golfer. What’s more, we have FUN in her clinics while we are learning. She’s one of the LCCC’s best resources!”

I’ve taken lessons and also been on the range observing when she is giving a lesson to others and it’s quite remarkable. Her enthusiasm and energy for teaching never waivers! I’ve seen her with youngsters, and both women and men adults. She is adept at matching the lesson to the student and I know from experience, that is not always the case with pros. We are so lucky to have her.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I will get a full assesment of your skill level for Full swing and short game. We can then set a plan to help you accomplish your goals in golf. I use fligh scope to collect data, and use video to help you see your swing and where we are trying to get your swing.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with a range of golfers from total beginners to retired LPGA players. I have tought a wide varitey of professional athletes, college golfers, high school golfers, and single digit handicap golfers.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Taking golf lessons is a long term process, you want to feel comfortable with your teacher and understand the information they are passing to you. The better understanding you have of the swing change, the easier it will be to make the change!
