HDS Ballet, founded in January 2012, is a professional school that is dedicated to providing exemplary training in classical ballet. The Studio was founded by Mr. JunShuang Huang, a former Houston Ballet Principal Dancer, Queensland Ballet Principal Dancer, and Helsinki gold medalist, and Ms. XiaoChen Chen, a former renowned ballerina from the Guangzhou Ballet Company in China, who both currently serve as principal teachers at Huang Dance Studio. As a professional level ballet school, we set high standards for the quality of training in order to advance our curriculum and all of our faculty members are professionally trained and have strong stage performance experience. Each class is designed for the developmental needs of the particular age group; We guide our students from first steps to advanced technique, while instilling a joy for this timeless art form. We encourage the development of self-confidence, self-motivation, and self-discipline in each student to help them strive beyond their own vision of themselves by finding success in their accomplishments_ students who study ballet do develop coordination, posture, confidence, discipline, musicality, acting skills, and teamwork. Since its establishment, Huang Dance Studio has had many exemplary students whose dance experience has influenced their life in a multitude of ways whether it's through winning competitions, gaining confidence, or even assisting their college applications. Our experienced staff encourages students with diverse backgrounds and interests to study ballet Ballet is an excellent foundation for various other dance forms Students who have good ballet training can quickly learn other dance forms such as Jazz, Latin, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Chinese dance Additional to our traditional ballet classes, we also provide lessons in modern dance and partner dances We also periodically host the classes taught by accomplished guest professional ballet dancers/instructors from Houston Ballet and other professional dancing companies The studio provides all students at different levels with an opportunity to participate in main stage performance on various public/community events Compared to many other types of dance schools, the Royal Ballet School is dedicated to developing sophisticated ballet professionals We invite professional guest dancers to perform with us in a multitude of full length classical ballets which we present in formal theaters at every recital we present a new unique piece with our teachers have choreographed themselves Outside of the school year, we have a yearly professional day-long training programs during the summer in which we reach a high standard master class Additionally, we attend various ballet competitions, such as the Young American Grand Prix (YAGP), in order to broaden our student's dance experience At Huang Dance Studio, 1umerous 11 White Swan11 gain their wings and countless "ballet princes" will be born
