About
With over 20 years of teaching experience, I have been able to work with a variety of students and learning styles which has allowed me to learn how to best interact with them. I aim to work with your natural motion and abilities to help you be your best.
I am also fortunate to be at a property with fantastic practice facilities. We have two tee boxes with different grasses on them, putting and chipping greens, bunkers and a 9 hole Par 3 course.
Since golf is a sport that requires a fair amount of practice and time to excel at, it inherently brings people with a passion for what they do to your door. Being able to help a student improve in something that means so much to them is rewarding.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start with a conversation about their experience in golf and what their goals are for the lessons. From there, I will check their pre-swing fundamentals and then watch a few swings. My goal is to identify the area of their swing which will produce the most improvements when fixed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed the requirements of the Professional Golfers Association of America to become a Class "A" Professional. I have been a Member of the PGA for over 20 years. I have also completed continuing education offered by the PGA with regards to instruction and attended the PGA Show to visit with vendors offering new technology in golf.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I offer 55 minute lessons which are $100 per session. If you purchase a package of 6 lessons, I include a bag mapping session at no charge.
I also offer playing lessons on our Championship Course and Par 3 course.
I also offer a Coaching Club which includes individual and group sessions for a monthly fee.
How did you get started teaching?
I started working at a public golf course in the bag room at age 16. My first boss was an amazing guy and better professional. My start in teaching came from watching him teach and taking lessons from him.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students in all stages of the game. Juniors as young as 5 through retirees with over 60 years playing in the game. I enjoy working with both men and women, and have the ability to keep things simple for beginners and to focus on something very specific for a scratch golfer.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A student at a club I recently left posted on Facebook how much she enjoyed working with me and how she needed to make her learning a priority. Students with goals are always rewarding to work with because they will listen and practice.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find an instructor who is truly interested in helping you reach your goals, whatever they may be, and not one who is only interested in showing you how much they know about the swing. The art of teaching revolves around knowing what information your student really needs to hear to improve and reach their goals. They also need to be able to communicate to you in a way you will understand
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Are their goals realistic?
Are they willing to commit to the steps needed to make a change?
