I have a passion for teaching and my mission is to provide an unwavering commitment to my student’s success in learning how to play golf and how to constantly improve.
I emphasize that every student is unique and distinguished by varying body shapes and builds, flexibility and abilities. Because every student is different, I want them to learn a golf swing that their body's limits of flexibility will allow them to actually attain. I assess my student’s playing goals, current skills and what they need to do to reach key performance milestones. My role includes understanding my student’s learning style in order to more effectively communicate and to maximize their learning potential. I believe the most important element of effective teaching is making every lesson and activity meaningful to my students. The students must see the relevance of the activities that they are doing. My students will learn more if they see the point of a lesson and how it relates to them.Specifically, I teach my students fundamentals from the ground up: how to swing, chip, pitch and putt with confidence, how to maintain control of their thoughts and emotions, and how to practice. I am “hands on” and want them to know exactly what they should be doing with their body, mind, and club to produce an effective golf swing. I teach the “why” so their understanding will be complete. My instruction is most effective when my students can “hear it, see it and feel it.” In short, I believe there can be a correct and different swing for each student and when practiced and developed correctly, it can become repetitive and successful.Whether the student is a brand new beginner or is picking the game back up, I want to infuse that spark or to reinvigorate their enthusiasm for golf by making the improvement process fun and enjoyable.
