I had always wanted to learn piano and I wanted to have something that my kids and I could learn together. I needed someone who was going to be good with both adults and kids and Rachel fit that perfectly. Rachel helped me by being so patient and encouraging. She made the learning process really fun but always challenged us to try to push ourselves in our learning. Her encouragement helped us want to practice in between lessons and we looked forward to her visits. She helped grow our love of learning music instead of making it feel like a chore. I have been taking piano lessons with Angela for about 8 years and I am now in 8th grade. Angela is an amazing piano teacher and has inspired me from the very first lesson to enjoy learning how to play the piano and to understand the world of music. She respects her students’ interests, such as what kind of music they are interested in playing, and encourages all of her students to accomplish their goals and to share their music with those around them. Angela’s piano lessons have not only helped me to become the pianist that I now am, but have also taught me to appreciate music. The lessons have allowed me to quickly learn how to play other instruments such as the ukulele and violin, due to having studied music in so much depth, to include theory and technique.
