About
I am a very experienced piano teacher since I started teaching when I was only 14 years old. Private or group lessons available, plus a family rate. I teach all forms of music from beginner through advanced, plus theory and improv. I can mentor older children and adults the art of teaching piano, and teach how to accompany soloist and church worship music. Lessons would be in your home. All ages.
. I teach how to read music, play by ear, write music, and improvise on traditional or contemporary church music. I lead worship and choirs. I also teach, children and adults, in their home, how to play the piano/keyboard, church worship music, classical, standard pop music or gospel music, theory, and composition.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first talk with them to get more acquainted finding out their interests in hobbies, school, and music.
Next, if this is a beginner student I introduce them to the piano having them play and say all the C notes up and down the piano, etc.
If they are more advanced, I have them play some scales for me. I can tell right away how much technic they have been taught.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied music starting at age 5 and continued through college and beyong. I continued studying music at Northwest University and with Judy Baker's School of Music. I have been teaching for 54 years, playing for special occasions, and accompaning other musicians. I am also a church musician.
