Hi My name is Marylou, and I've been an Orchestral Teacher for over 32 years. I have worked in the Brentwood School district and Bay Shore School District in Long Island, New York. Megan O. says, "Heidi is so genuinely caring and attentive no matter what skill level you go into lessons with. I had no formal teaching prior to working with Heidi, and she made me feel so comfortable and confident in my abilities right off the bat. She cares so genuinely about her students, both as students and individuals - and always made me feel right at home with her, through both in person lessons and virtual. On top of that, Heidi was very flexible in how we worked together - and was incredibly patient with my schedule through a job change and physical move. Working with Heidi was an amazing experience I would recommend to anyone looking to improve their musical abilities." Read more

Kenna B. says, "I cannot say enough good things about Lauri- I've never had a better piano teacher! As a child, I took piano lessons sporadically, but never consistent enough to play well. I'm now 24 and have been taking online lessons with Lauri for over a year, with incredible success! She pays attention to the things that are important to me and tailors each lesson to what I need to work on most. She teaches me how to practice each concept effectively so that I learn better. She's incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of music and great at answering questions. She's patient and she makes lessons fun! She has made it so I even prefer online lessons because of how easy they are with her. I'd recommend Lauri 1000x over!" Read more

Linnea O.
Heidi has been my private music teacher for more years than I can count on my fingers (14 years). Through all my phases, (elementary - university) she has supported me so much. I play the flute, and when I was first learning it took a while, but Heidi was kind and patient and let me have all the time in the world to learn. Heidi is kind and thoughtful, an attentive listener, and cares lots for the musical community. Her taste in music is phenomenal, and she cares deeply about collaboration and listening to what her students have to say. I have never given up because of Heidi, she's the best teacher I've ever had. Highly recommend! 10/10!

Jacob is an excellent with kids. He tries to connect with them by getting to know them on a personal level. He makes sure that he is teaching to the interests of his students. Jacob really breaks down the music so that it is easier to learn. Try Jacob out- you won't be disappointed.

Ms. Lauri came highly recommended to me through a mom group that I am in. My son (he is 9 and in the highly capable program, but as high cap kids can be, is very particular about how he processes and learns things) was showing interest in learning to play the piano. I wanted to make sure whoever taught him would be able to understand and be patient with him. Ms. Lauri and I had extensive conversations about Jax, his learning style, challenges he might show etc. prior to committing to lessons. We decided it was a good fit and my gosh, best decision ever! Jax LOVES playing the piano and really enjoys learning from Ms. Lauri. Hearing him play has brought so much joy to our home and we are looking forward to his first virtual recital and to see how he’ll continue to learn and grow. Thank you for being the best teacher for Jax!

Carl is musician first, guitarist second, which I appreciate a lot. He has an uncanny way of knowing what to teach me next. This goes all the way back to our first lesson, when I gave him a few tidbits of information about where I was with the instrument and what I was looking for. He started off with some cool modal stuff that I'd never seen before that tied what little I already knew together beautifully. I leave every lesson with new insights, feeling motivated and excited about my progress. (And believe me I've had my share of guitar instructors for whom I would not say the same.)

I really appreciate Emiko's patience and ability to motivate my children playing piano. Yes we all acknowledge that there has been some tough days time to time (especially during my kid's teenage periods), however, we all went through this exciting journey of piano performance with such a joy until my girl successfully enrolled to MIT. Thank you, Emiko for endurance, patience, ability to communicate effectively about love of music. My girl still plays piano, due to the solid foundation and techniques acquired from Emiko's wonderful teaching.

First and foremost shes brilliant. Shes energetic, observant, receptive, flexible, attentive, animated, modestly eclectic, very approachable, very knowledge and I personally recommend her 12 times out of 10. She has taught me techniques, and new ways to expand my vocal range, how to "tell the story" of songs, how to make a song my own and articulation is key. I can go on and on of what shes taught me but I'm a better vocalist and performer than I ever have been in my life and I cant thank her enough for it. If you're reading this just give her a call you'll love her trust me😊
