About
Welcome! Learning to play guitar is a wonderful path to what can be at a minimum a fun and rewarding hobby, but also a powerful tool of self-expression and even a way to begin a musical career. Learning without quality guidance can be challenging and frustrating, so I'm committed to making the learning path as fast and enjoyable as possible. Beyond my own playing experience I undergo continuous guitar teaching training and certification to bring the most effective learning techniques to you, so we can obliterate the barriers to you becoming the player you want to be.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step is the student's free introductory consultation where we can establish the student's current and desired level of ability, and build a plan to get them to where they want to be with their guitar playing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I participate in ongoing, monthly education and training with an international group of dedicated, professional guitar teachers to get the best tools and strategies to turn YOU into the player you dream of becoming.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Tuition is billed on a four-week cycle for consistency, with rates varying by the number of hours per week of instruction.
How did you get started teaching?
I started with a friend and my nephew who wanted to learn and quickly fell in love with it.
What types of students have you worked with?
Beginner and intermediate Rock and Metal players, so far.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I helped a student with a concept another teacher had taught them but they didn't really grasp; when they finally understood it, they were both relieved and other pieces of their playing started to fall into place.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say that if the teacher teaches the style you want to learn and is accessible to you, do it. A good teacher can help tear down obstacles and fix errors in your playing that you don't even know are there - and importantly, you get direct feedback on your playing and progress you won't get from a YouTube video.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
"Do I want to be able to play guitar, and play it well?" Whether you already play or you're a total beginner, this is the only question that really matters. Don't hesitate to reach out to a teacher - the faster you get on track towards your musical goals, the sooner you reach them.
