About
Founded in 1981, the Alabama Ballet has established itself as the state's premier professional ballet company, offering top-notch performances and training. Based in Birmingham, AL, and extending to surrounding areas, the company has its roots in the Birmingham Civic Ballet, the University of Alabama at Birmingham Ballet, and Ballet Alabama. The Alabama Ballet is not only a high-caliber performing troupe, but also the home of the Alabama Ballet School - the only RAD certified school in the state.
