About
I am very passionate about drumming and have been playing in church since a toddler! It is honestly a God given gift, but I have had others help me to refine my talent. I was told that I used to beat on pots and pans until my dad bought me my first set. Drumming came natural to me.
I currently play with a worship band called Oak City Worship in Birmingham Al. We sometimes do outside events for conferences as well. I have also played in band in high school and played at Church of the highlands for nearly 4 years. I am experienced in Gospel drumming and Contemporary Christian music. My desire is to gig consistently and to be considered a professional drummer who does studio work and begins to give intermediate and professional lessons.
My goal is to help those with little to no drum experience get started by teaching them the basics of drumming. This will include things like learning all the various parts of a drum kit, technique, stretching to reduce hand cramps, using a metronome, and other things as well. Students will become fundamentally sound at the basics of drumming.
I enjoy being able to help people achieve their goals while having fun while doing it! I am excited to see people with no experience begin to learn the basics of drumming.
