About
Guitar lessons for ages 10 and up. All lessons are catered to the individual needs of the student. My goal is to impart my students with the same enthusiasm and love for music that I have. I have my BA in Jazz Performance from UALR and 20 years of teaching experience, as well as over 30 years of playing experience. I am the Music Director for the Little Rock Junior Cotillion and perform for private and corporate events with my band, Unraveled. Also, I regularly perform as a solo act with a mixture of live looping, jazz, pop and improvised music.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process involves learning how they need to be taught as well as what drew them to the instrument. That way I can provide lessons that are geared towards what they want to do with the instrument.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my BA in Jazz Performance from UALR. I have taught for over 20 years and played in various local bands, as well as solo performances. With all my experience, even I will still take lessons from time to time. Music is a lifelong pursuit and there's always more to learn.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$120 a month with a one time book fee of $35. That includes 4 lessons a month. Lessons are once a week for 30 minutes.
How did you get started teaching?
Initially, I started teaching when I was in college as a way to make some extra cash. I quickly found that it was something I was good at and enjoyed doing. I love watching students grow in their love of music. I love having the privilege of being a part of someone's musical journey.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't be afraid to shop around. Different teachers will have different teaching styles. Find the one that best fits your needs as a student.
