I allow the student to pick out selections they like from church, movies, or pop songs and arrange them for their level. I have frequent recitals, encourage duets, give group classes some, and have parties each year to build a sense of community. The joy the students have in playing songs they like realizing music is fun. I try to make it fun for my students as well as educational. I incorporate theory in each lesson and encourage playing by ear.

Hello there! My name is Sydney and I am a developing muscian who greatly enjoys sharing and teaching music with others. I have taught private piano lessons for about 5 years for both adults and childern 4 years and older. I play a variety of instruments myself, including piano, violin, and voice (and I dabble in many others) with piano being my primary focus. I also have experiance teaching childern through 4-H and in a classroom setting as an afterschool tutor. My teaching style caters more to those looking to enrich their lives or their childern's lives with music education rather than those with an end goal of a musical career. Music is a...

I am an experienced live and session guitarist that has worked in Nashville Tn., with pro's such as David Nail, Trent Tomlinson, & numerous Christian artists. I teach practical musical theory for numerous genres without comprimising the fun needed for creating a passion for the instrument. I feel very comfortable with beginners that are just learning chords and how to construct songs as well as advanced musicians that are learning how to contextually improv and create great tones for live and recording situations. I have also had some success as a songwriter and can help with song construction as well. Please let me know of any questions you...

The best age to start piano lessons is 5 to 9 years, though learning how to play the piano doesn't have an age limit. Playing the piano strengthens fine motor skills, increases flexibility, and improves your memory no matter how old you are.

Piano lessons are worth the money and effort invested over time. Playing an instrument can be beneficial for mental health, and cognitive strength. For smaller budgets, book just a few lessons to get the basics down and continue on your own.

Piano lessons for beginners or children are typically 30 to 45 minutes per session. Intermediate or advanced lessons are 45 to 60+ minutes per session. Most people have 1 to 2 lessons per week.

  • Do you have a degree in music?
