I'm an individual professional who has 32+ years in the business both in NYC and Arizona. I work with individuals to find the truth in what they are trying to represent for an audience of one too one thousand. This process is both a mental/physiological and a physical journey, not to find the spark of passion but to bring it to a flame, helping the artist learn to see the depths of the work that needs to take place to bring out the truth of this journey. I work with professional and amateur actors, musical theatre performers, and beginners trying to figure out if this is their journey. I myself am a professional entertainer, both actor/singer, and I have been a director, producer, writer, theatre production owner, and have 1000's of performances under my belt. I studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC. and have traveled much of the United States performing Musical Theatre Productions. My own production company was based here in Arizona "Todd James Smeltzer Productions" for five years and produced more than 50 shows.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to talk over the phone first to see what the expectations are, then meet for 30 min for a free short lesson as for how we may start/work. Then I normally do one lesson where the student comes in with something prepared to work on and we dig in and see the possibilities.
