Desert Star Dance has been in operation since 2003 and thriving in the Phoenix East Valley for 18 years. Our excellence in dance, theater, tumbling, and creative movement classes for preschoolers through adults has influenced thousands of students throughout the years.
Our goal is to provide a strong foundation in movement using fun and creative techniques. Desert Star Dance strives to help children develop coordination, improve their self-esteem, encourage participation in a group setting, and enhance their physical fitness. Our programs encourage creativity and are a great resource for improving listening skills and memory. But, most of all they are fun!

Ive been a dancer at this studio for about 12 years now and I would not have it any other way. Ive learned many skills dancing but also including social skills such as leadership, communication, and responsibility. Ive been a company member for many years and still have the time for a life outside of dance just like any kid my age should. Also on top of the many surgeries Ive had limiting my abilities to do many things in dance my instructors have always helped me work with and around my disabilities. Desert star is accepting to all and I would recommend it to any level or age dancers!

The owner of DSD was my teacher when I was younger and she taught me well and encouraged me to follow my dreams. I am fortunate to have had a great dancing career in LA and with the AZ Cardinals thanks to her skills and support. My daughter is now dancing with DSD and I am MORE than confident in not only Anns ability but, all of hear teachers to give my babe exactly what she needs. I HIGHLY recommend DSD! We happened upon a DSD live community performance 7 years ago and were so impressed by the dancing skills, choreography, creativity, and fun we observed. The instructors and staff were helpful and attentive to our family as we entered the studio experience. Our daughter quickly became a dedicated dancer, inspired and encouraged by the instructors, motivated by the discipline, personal achievement, and thrill of artistic performance. We are also pleased with the safe, healthy, structured environment, responsiveness and support of the staff, and the opportunities and guidance for professional development. We love our DSD family!

My daughter has been dancing at DSD for 10+ years and she absolutely loves it here. Not only has she gained great dance skill from the fabulous staff, she has also learned many life lessons. She has gained responsibility, confidence, and kindness from this studio. If anyone had to choose a studio for their child I would 100% recommend DSD because of the age appropriate costumes, family friendly environment, and experienced teaching.��
