About this pro

With A.T.L.D tennis lessons, you will learn and practice the correct, modern way of playing tennis from your first time out on court. With an emphasis on effective communication, friendly interaction, unique lesson plans and drills, and lots and lots of hitting, you will improve at an accelerated pace and enjoy the process of doing so!

I take great pride in my ability to analyze areas of weakness in my students' games, and explain to them in an easy to understand manner how to improve these issues.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

When working with a new student, we will have a brief discussion about their goals and playing experience. We will then have a short hitting based warmup (my students do not waste valuable lesson time running laps of the courts or doing jumping jacks), followed by a series of progressive drills designed to work on that days shots and strategies.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Tennis Canada and PTR certified, with over 16 years of coaching experience at all levels, from beginner kids rec center programs to NCAA university tennis teams.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Individual lessons are priced at $40 ($25/person for semi-private lessons). Bulk lesson packages in quantities of 5, 10, and 15 can lower that price by as much as $10/hour.

How did you get started teaching?

I received my first coaching job at the age of 16 when I was hired as the Junior Tennis Pro at my local tennis club.

What types of students have you worked with?

Students of all ages from 4-80, and all skill levels from complete beginners to NCAA athletes.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Look for someone who is a full time coach, rather than someone who just coaches on the side to make some extra money. Coaching, like all professions, requires consistent time and effort to continue adding knowledge.
